More keyboard friendly.

01/07/10	James	Please make the app more keyboard friendly. I would like to be able to complete every action w/o having to reach for the mouse. To toggle from one subject to the next with hotkeys would be much appreciated. For instance (Command + 1) takes me to "accounts,"; (Command + 3) takes me to categories etc... To create a new transaction I would love to just press (Shift + Command + N) and something similar for splitting transactions. I find that this is much quicker than going to the bottom of the page and clicking the small "+" sign and split sign. Also, when I am adding a transaction I can complete every field with my keyboard using tab and shift tab if i need to go back but the most important part calls for me to reach for my mouse and press "Apply." I believe it is the text area that causes the problem of not being able to press tab and then enter to apply or space to press the already selected apply button. I think these are quick and easy fixes which I would love to see and I know many of my keyboard driven comrades would love the same. There are lots of us lol, check how many users use quicksilver and launchbar... even a service to add a transaction would be heaven sent. I could add a transaction w/o even opening the app. Also, apple scriptability would be a good idea but I digress. Thank you! PLEASE guy's vote!

For example, while on the tab "Transactions", you can click on the Command-N for a new transaction or Shift-Command-N for a split-transaction. Then Tab to move through the fields (Ctrl-Tab for text area), Shift-Tab in reverse order. For the record, instead of clicking on "Apply", you can press Command-Enter. To cancel, the Command-Esc (although this combination also reacts Front Row). Many of the field auto-completed after typing a few letters. By pressing the key down to Combo box, you can choose among all the variants containing a sequence of letters typed. But you are right, for many operations require a mouse.
